Fill your Ninja kettle with equal parts water and white vinegar, let it sit for 30 minutes, then discard the solution and rinse the kettle with clean water. Repeat as needed. Regular descaling can increase the life of your kettle by removing the build-up of mineral deposits caused by hard water. The Ninja kettle also has a removable limescale filter in the spout, which can be easily cleaned by running under a hot tap.
Kettle energy use will vary by the amount of water boiled, the starting temperature of the water, and the target final water temperature, amongst other factors.
Most electronic appliances draw power when plugged in, even when not in use. The Ninja kettle’s control panel will automatically enter a sleep mode if no activity is recognised for a period of 5 minutes. You can also manually turn off the control panel.
Electric kettles contain a heating element which heats up when the kettle is switched on, heating up the water until it boils. The Ninja Perfect Temperature kettle gives you control over the water temperature, with 6 settings from 60°C to 100°C, and manual temperature controls from 40°C to 100°C, so you can make your favourite speciality teas, coffees, hot chocolate and other hot drinks without having to wait for the water to cool.
The Ninja toaster has 7 shade settings from 1-7, so you can choose whether you’d like your bread or bagel lightly toasted, golden or dark. Each shade setting adjusts the temperature and toasting time.
The Ninja toaster can be cleaned by partly sliding the crumb tray out of the toaster in vertical position and wiping the crumbs off before reinserting. Use a damp cloth to clean the exterior and control panel.
The optimum position of your kettle and toaster will depend on many factors, such as the availability of plug sockets and counter space, however you should ensure there is plenty of space around the toaster and kettle for air circulation, and that the power cords are as far back from the edge of your worktop as possible.
