Rate this recipe

  • For the vanilla part
  • 4 frozen bananas
  • 75ml almond milk
  • 4 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • For the raspberry part
  • 200g frozen raspberries
  • 3 tbsp maple syrup
  • 30ml Blackwoods Gin
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Optional: a few mint leaves
Prep Time

  1. First make the vanilla part: Place the ingredients into your Ninja Kitchen Nutri Ninja food processor/blender and blend well for a few minutes until quite thick and completely smooth

  2. Pour into a loaf tin lined with greaseproof paper and smooth out

  3. Add the ingredients for the raspberry part into your food processor/blender and whizz up until smooth

  4. Dot this mixture around then use a knife to create a swirl effect with the vanilla. Place in the freezer for at least 2 hours to set – then garnish with mint sprigs and serve!

My love of healthy food was originally inspired by my commitment to fitness and wellbeing. But that's not to say I don't like a treat from time to time. It was when I started looking for healthy treats that still satisfied my sweet tooth that I realised how little there was to choose from. Despite being labelled 'healthy', many of the recipes I came across relied heavily on processed sugar and fat - which is why I decided to take matters into my own hands.
