There’s nothing quite as romantic as food art and this dish ticks all the right boxes. You will be sure to impress this Valentine’s Day (or any day of the week) with this recipe!
Beetroot Hummus with Avocado Rose
- FOR BEETROOT HUMMUS
- 400g canned chick peas
- 2 garlic cloves
- 2 medium beetroots, cooked (I baked mine for 45 minutes)
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 2 tbsp tahini
- 5 tbsp olive oil
- Pinch salt & pepper
- FOR BREAD
- 1 loaf of sourdough bread
- Olive oil, to coat
- Salt & pepper, to taste
- 1 avocado
Add the ingredients for the hummus to your blender and pulse until smooth
Slice the bread into your desired thickness and coat in olive oil.
Grill the bread in a hot griddle pan on each side until nicely toasted and sprinkle with salt & pepper.
Spread the hummus on the grilled bread.
Create a beautiful avocado rose, or slice it evenly and place the slices on the hummus in an attractive formation. To see how I make mine check out my video on my Youtube Channel.
