Spiced Orange and Coldbrew Gin Cocktail

Notes: This recipe requires you to quickly whip up a batch of coldbrew and refrigerate overnight! Coconut water works well at counteracting the dehydrating effects of the alcohol but you can use water if you prefer

*All cups are UK measurements therefore 1 cup=250ml

  • For the cold brew coffee
  • 1 cup coffee grounds
  • 3 cups coconut water/filtered water
  • Peel from 1 orange
  • 12 green cardamom pods (crushed)
  • 2 star anise (crushed)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • For the cocktail
  • 125ml spiced cold brew coffee (see ingredients above)
  • 25-50ml Blackwoods Vintage Dry Gin
  • 2-3 tsp maple syrup/agave nectar (optional)
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • 25-50ml dairy-free cream
  • Optional decorations
  • A slice of orange
  • Orange peel twists
Prep Time

  1. Make the cold brew the night before. Place all of the ingredients, in the order listed, into a large mason jar. Shake and refrigerate overnight. Pour through a coffee filter into a large bowl or jug, rinse the jar with cold water then return the filtered coffee to the jar

  2. Place the cold brew coffee, Blackwoods gin, maple syrup (if using), and ice into your Ninja pitcher then pulse together until the ice is crushed

  3. Place an orange slice into the jar, pour in the the cocktail then top with some dairy-free cream and an orange twist
