Smooth Peanut and Almond Butter

My love of peanut/almond butter knows no bounds and I am forever looking for new ways to use it in every meal. So I thought I would combine the two. Over the years, I have struggled to make a smooth nut butter, but patience is key and now I make nut and seed butters regularly

  • 525g mixed almonds and peanuts
  • 2 pinches of salt
Prep Time


  1. Add the nuts to a baking tray and sprinkle with salt

  2. Bake at 160C/Gas Mark 3 for 10 minutes

  3. Allow to cool, then transfer to the food processor and process in short bursts making sure that you are scraping the sides down regularly (I process for a total of 15 minutes and take regular breaks in between)

  4. Taste and add salt if needed

  5. Store in the fridge until ready to use
