Italian biscotti

Satisfy your chocolate craving with this Italian biscotti. Made with coconut sugar and orange, this sweet treat will compliment your morning cup of tea.

  • 350g flour
  • 100g almond flour
  • 100g butter
  • 150g coconut sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • Zest from 1 orange
  • Optional:3/4 cup whole almonds
Prep Time


  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees

  2. Mix the butter with sugar until soft and fluffy

  3. Transfer the butter into the food processor with the dough blade attached. Add orange zest and eggs, and vanilla extract, mix well until all is combined

  4. Add the flour and baking powder and combine to create a dough. Then fold in the chocolate chips (and almonds if you wish)

  5. Divide the dough into 3-4 equal parts and form rolls of cookie dough

  6. Put the dough on the baking sheet, bake for 15min

  7. Remove from the oven, lift them carefully on to a chopping board. Cut them in slices

  8. Put them back on the baking sheet, cut side up

  9. Bake for another 7-10 min. Remove from the oven and enjoy!
