Batata Khees (Peanut Potatoes)

  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 6 medium potatoes, peeled and sliced into thin slices
  • 2 green chillies, split in the middle and de-seeded
  • 3 tsp cumin seeds
  • 4 tbsp crushed peanuts
  • Salt to taste
  • Coriander to garnish
Prep Time


  1. Put the Foodi on the Saute/Sear settings with the temperature set to Medium. Press Start/Stop to begin

  2. Wait for 5 minutes for it to heat up and then put in the oil and wait for it to splutter

  3. Throw in the chillies and fry until they splutter and the oil is infused with the chillies

  4. Add in the crushed peanuts and lightly fry them for a minute. Add in the cumin seeds and fry for 30 seconds

  5. Put in the potatoes and salt, and stir until all ingredients are mixed nicely

  6. Assemble the pressure cooker lid and set pressure release valve to Vent

  7. Monitor for 4 minutes and then switch off the Foodi

  8. Open the lid after 5 minutes and garnish with coriander
