Banana, Peanut Butter & Cinnamon Smoothie Oats With Caramelised Bananas

YUM YUM YUM!!! These oats are simply delicious. Creating a smoothie base really allows you the freedom to be able to play around with flavour combinations. The caramelised banana slices mixed with the peanut butter… I have no words to describe just how amazing it is.

Banana, Peanut Butter & Cinnamon Smoothie Oats With Caramelised Bananas

  • 250ml water
  • 1/2 banana
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp smooth peanut butter
  • 1 tbsp stevia
  • 60g - 80g oats
  • Toppings
  • 1/2 banana, sliced
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • Handful of blueberries
  • 1 tsp chia seeds
  • Smooth peanut butter
Prep Time


  1. Using the cup of your blender, pour in the water, banana, cinnamon, peanut butter and stevia. Pulse to make the smoothie base.

  2. Pour the smoothie into a saucepan at medium heat, once the smoothie starts to bubble up add the oats and allow the oats to cook for approximately 5-8 minutes (reduce temperature if needed).

  3. As the oats cook, heat the coconut oil in a frying pan and caramelise the banana slices for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden.

  4. Pour the oats into a cereal bowl, top it with peanut butter, caramelised banana slices, blueberries and sprinkle with chia seeds.
